Another Hectic Month

Another hectic month. In the past month I've moved 2200 miles east and started a new job. I guess I shouldn't complain too much - I have a job doing what I really want to do, even if it is taking 60-70 hours a week right now to keep up.

In addition to the changes in my personal life, there have been many changes with Dæmon News. We have moved the main server site and it will move again in the next month. Dæmon News has also been approached by two Japanese companies interested in reprinting articles from Dæmon News into Japanese in magazines. The interest these companies, among others, are showing in us makes all of us here feel like we're doing something important. We've made agreements with them to republish articles here by working with the authors of those articles and the editorial staff. For those of you in Japan, be on the lookout for the magazines. We'll have more information in future issues.

What can we expect in the months ahead? Our great regular articles will continue to appear and we have some additional new authors coming on line that have a lot of great ideas.

Before signing off on this short editorial, I'd like to thank Chris Coleman for essentially being the editor this month while I try to adjust to my new job and to the rest of the editorial staff for helping to take up the slack. I'd also like to say that if you're interested in contributing to Dæmon News (and especially if you use Net, Open, or BSDI) that you contact us. We can always use more help and we'd really like to see more NetBSD, OpenBSD, and BSDI news and articles.
