The taxi fare is typically reasonable since the rates are usually pre-determined according to the zone that you are traveling in. It is not recommended to hail a taxi for yourself, especially if you are not familiar with the Spanish language.
Plane
The two largest airlines in Mexico, Mexicana and Aeromexico, provide excellent traveling schedules and routes. Both of these airlines have airports strategically placed throughout Mexico so that flying from one city or town to another is not only safe, but also, efficient. However, since both airlines essentially belong to the same company, flight travel can be expensive. Cheaper flights are available with smaller, independent airlines, but the flight schedule is more limited.
